I’m Katie, nice to meet you!

Hey, I’m Katie — the founder of INKD Liverpool, mum of two gorgeous little humans, NHS trained, and a permanent makeup artist who somehow ended up runner-up at not one but TWO national beauty awards (still fuming, honestly).

Before INKD, I spent over a decade in the NHS — including 10 years with North West Ambulance Service and 4 years as a venepuncturist with NHS Blood & Transplant. That experience shaped everything I do: my approach is calm, clinical, safety-first and rooted in genuinely caring for people. When I stepped into the PMU world, I realised how powerful this blend of artistry and medical professionalism could be… and INKD was born.

As my client base grew, so did the demand for proper, ethical, high-standard training — so I built INKD Academy to give new artists what I never had: real support, correct technique, science-based knowledge, and someone who actually cares about your career long after the course ends.

I’m also proud to be a Killer Beauty sponsored artist, representing some of the industry's best tools and standards.

Today, INKD is a space where women feel seen, safe and confident — whether they’re clients looking for beautiful, natural results, or students starting their own journey in PMU.

I started this business to change my life… and now I help other women change theirs.

Meet Lisa, teaching assistant & beauty specialist

Hey, I’m Lisa – INKD Liverpool’s teaching assistant, PMU artist, and the woman behind our beauty fundamentals. I’ve been in the industry for 6 years, and in that time I’ve fallen completely in love with helping clients feel confident and helping new artists find their feet.

Before joining INKD, I trained across multiple beauty disciplines and quickly realised I had a real passion for the foundations — the treatments that shape faces, build confidence, and create the perfect starting point for anyone entering the beauty world. That’s why I now lead our beauty courses here at INKD: lash lift, brow lamination, waxing & tinting… all the essential skills every artist should master.

I’m also a mum to three gorgeous boys, and balancing motherhood with a career I adore has shaped the way I teach. My approach is patient, honest, supportive and very real — no ego, no gatekeeping, just proper education and techniques that actually work in the real world.

Working alongside Katie means bringing high standard, ethical, safety-focused training into everything we do. I’m here to make sure every student feels guided, encouraged and capable — whether they’re taking their very first beauty course or stepping into PMU.

At INKD, my goal is simple: to help you build confidence from the ground up, master the essentials, and start a career that works for your life.
